Silly Fools debuts its new singer with this latest single, and…wow! I’m impressed! Rim’s voice and the style of this single in general sound so much more reminiscent of the classic Silly Fools sound, he definitely does P’Toe’s legacy justice. This is so much better than the Nickleback-esque sound their second singer, Ben, had from when the band split with P’Toe and moved to RS Promotion. Before I was very disappointed with the direction Silly Fools had taken and wished they’d just taken a new band name and started from a fresh image for themselves, rather than drag such an iconic band of Thai music history down into mediocrity. But now, I’m happy the Silly Fools legend lives on!
Sound aside, this new single has interesting lyrics that seem to tell the story of a guy who’s put up with getting strung around by his girlfriend, but is warning her that two can play her game, so she better wise up or get ready. The music video, though with seemingly little to do with the song itself, is at least very visually interesting, with crazy costumes, impressive fight scenes, and spiffy special effects. This is definitely a worthy comeback single for Silly Fools, and I’m so excited to see where they go from here!
