I’m not usually a big fan of sad songs, but I like the melody and beat of this release, and I like the portrayal of denial in the lyrics, with the speaker wanting to believe that the breakup is just a joke and not really happening. I gotta say, though, I don’t really get the MV. Is the guy a magician and he’s trying to make the girl smile by doing all these tricks in hopes she’ll crack and say she’s just joking? And he surprises her by actually freezing time? Or is he just remembering the moment of their breakup and pausing it in his mind to give her a mental hug and remember all the good times they had?
