It seems like Flame literally went through all the stages of grief throughout their musical career and now frontman Keng has finally reached acceptance of his forever alone status haha. While I’m happy he seems to be feeling better about his life, honestly I do miss the pure, raw anger and and bitterness from Flame’s first album. This song is definitely better than their last single about giving up wanting a girlfriend and just looking for a one-night-stand with a girl already in a relationship, but Flame still lost their appeal to me. I hope they’ll still sing slow, emotional rock songs with Keng’s strong vibrato voice in the future.
Change in style aside, this song at least has a good message about being happy with yourself and not putting so much emphasis on having a lover. They’re right, some day the right person will come along for you, sometimes all you can do is wait, and in the mean time, have fun while you do. 🙂
