Wow! This music video!
The song is your classic Loso sound, and the lyrics are your classic passive-aggressive nonchalant Loso lyrics as well; requesting that if you’re not happy in the relationship, just be quick about it and end things cleanly so you both can go your separate ways and forget all the good times you ever had. But the video! Sek has definitely won me back with this one. I don’t know why I like stories of violent insanity so much, but I do.
I’m honestly not sure if the song is supposed to tell things from the girl’s or the guy’s point of view. Perhaps it’s from the guy’s, and he wanted her to just break things off if she didn’t have feelings for him anymore, but she ended up leading him on and cheating on him, driving him to the point of killing both her and her lover (if that was the male body with her in the closet?)? Or maybe the girl was planning on breaking things off and told him she was leaving him, and it just drove him over the edge to murder in a desperate attempt to keep her?
Or maybe the song is supposed to be from the girl’s point of view; she’s stuck in a relationship with a guy who’s abusive and angry with her all the time, so if he doesn’t love her anymore, she wants him to just let her go and she’ll calmly leave and get out of his hair, but he’s already got his mind set on killing her?
I wonder if there will be a part two that will clear things up a bit more, or if we’ll be left speculating and forming our own conclusions. What do you guys think about the song and video?
