Polycat is still killing it with their unique retro sound~
I love the bittersweet lyrics of this song, the way the singer reveals his feelings towards the girl while trying to reassure her the guy she’s with (or getting married to, as in the music video) really cares by comparing it to the way he acts around her. I also really like how Polycat has been using Blasians/African actors for their music videos for the last couple singles. It’s refreshing from the usual Eurasian/East Asian look you usually see, and nice to see that demographic getting recognition and representation. Yet another way Polycat is keeping themselves outstanding from the rest of the crowd 🙂
