Peck’s long-awaited comeback single since his popularity resurged after his stint on the Mask Singer~ He has a lovely voice, but honestly I’m not sure if this song showcases that as well as it could. Still, it’s not bad, and I like the lyrics at least; this is the way I am, take it or leave it. As someone who is equally as awkward with physical displays of affection or sweet words, I get where he’s coming from. I also really like the artistic style of the music video, the bright color scheme used, and all his outfits. But… When this song was getting teased with various promo photos, at first I thought they were very artistic and unique, showing shots of his feet, of his back, of his hands… Now I understand. Whatttt did they do to his face?? Now, I know he’s gotten his fair share of plastic surgery that makes him seem like he’s unable to make facial expressions sometimes, but in recent interviews, his face didn’t look as plastic and unmovable as it does here. I really think it’s the fault of the makeup artist. Honestly, if they had done the girl up the same way, it could have worked, like it was just part of the music video style for them to look like Barbie and Ken dolls. But why did they do her makeup naturally, but use INSANE highlight and shine on Peck that makes him look like a plastic mannequin?? The difference is too awkward and makes him look unnatural and a little unsettling. I think I’ll just listen to this song 🙂
