Title: อย่าให้ฉันคิด / Yah Hai Chun Kit (Don’t Let Me Think)
Artist: Room39
Album: [Single]
Year: 2016

Dai fung reuang rao kaung tur gup kwahm ruk tee gumlung ja jop long
I’ve heard your story about your love that’s about to end
Kong mee kae kwahm bpen huang jahk kon tee bpen paing peuan ja mor som
I have only concern from a person who’s only a suitable friend

Dtae meuan wah nai bahng krung tee tur jaung maung chun
But sometimes when you stare at me
Klai wah tur ja dtaung gahn bpen mahk gwah nun
It’s like you want to be more than that
Lae chun gor bpen kae puean kon neung seung pai nai jai
And I’m just a friend who, in their heart,
Nun sup son lae yung mee kwahm
Is feeling mixed up and still has some questions

Yahk ja roo piang tah mai mee kao laeo rao ja ruk gun mai
I only want to know, if you didn’t have her, would we love each other?
Reu kae dtua chun kon diao tee kit fun bpai
Or is it just me who has been dreaming
Jon glai saen glai wah tur nun hai kwahm wung
So far ahead, that you’ve been giving me hope?
Yahk ja roo kae piang tah jop gup kao laeo rao ja ruk gun mai
I only want to know, if you end things with her, will we love each other?
Yah bploy hai chun fao ror lae kit fun glai
Don’t leave me waiting and dreaming too far
Kon diao reuay bpai tah tur nun mai dtaung gahn
Continuously alone, if you don’t want me
Yah hai chun kit bpai eng
Don’t let me think by myself

Aht bpen chun tee kit gern bpai aun wai pror piang kae kum wah glai chit
It might be me who’s thinking too far, weakened only by the word “close”
Tee bpreuk sah kae peuan sanit tur aht mai kit mahk gern jon loey bpai yahng chun
Your consultant is only a close friend, you probably aren’t thinking too far into it like me

(*,**)

Yahk ja roo piang tah mai mee kao laeo rao ja ruk gun mai
I only want to know, if you didn’t have her, would we love each other?

Giving the male vocals of the group a rest while the female vocals covers this new release, eh? Not a bad sound, though the lyrics are your average I-have-a-crush-on-my-unavailable-friend. The couple in the music video are perfectly awkward for the situation, though, and nicely portray the confusing signals such a matter usually gives off. I also like how it ended with things still unanswered, as sometimes in life we never get the answers to things we wonder about. Not a bad release for these guys~
