Title: ความคิดถึงทะลุสายฝน / Kwahm Kit Teung Taloo Sai Fon (Missing You Through the Rain)
Artist: Mushroom Hunter
Album: [Single]
Year: 2016

Lom put ao lin fon choy mah glin ai din chahng tum hai jai ngao
The wind brings the scent of the rain with it, the scent of the earth makes my heart so very lonely
Ahgaht gor rerm yan ging mai gumlung wai en bao bao
The air starts to cool, the tree branches start to gently bend
La aung kwahm ngao mun rerm gor jai
The dust of loneliness is starting to settle on my heart

Fah tee koey sot sai yao nahn het dai gun bahng wun jeung mee fon
The sky that was once clear for so long gets rainy some days for some reason
Bpen wun tee fah tao lae ngao gern hua jai ja ton
It’s a grey-sky day, and I’m too lonely for my heart to bear
Kit teung bahng kon tee yoo saen glai
I’m missing someone who’s far away

Tur yoo nai jai mun nao meua kwahm ngao yot long bon peun din
Where are you? My heart is cold when loneliness drops down to the ground
Fah tee mon fon tee lai rin bproht dai yin siang kwahm huang yai
The dark sky, the pouring rain, please listen to the sound of my concern
Fahk lom put gling ai fon hai gup krai neung kon tee saen glai
I leave the blowing wind and the scent of the rain to the person far away
Dai glin kwahm ruk tee put pah mah jahk jai
To receive the scent of love that’s blowing from my heart
You know? I miss you through the rain
You know? I miss you through the rain

(*)

When the sun hides away on this cold and rainy day
Loneliness is settling into my heart that’s turning gray
And the pain’s raining down, down upon my soul
When you’re gone, Can you hear me calling on the wind?
You know that I miss you? through the rain

I’m actually really impressed with the poetry of the lyrics~ I thought they rather vividly expressed the longing through the other senses of scent, hearing, and visuals on a rainy day.
I wonder who sponsored this video? lol. I could have done without that completely random product-placement bathtub scene. But otherwise, I like how the music video turned it away from a romance story with the ending, revealing it was a girl missing her father. I begrudgingly admit I’m impressed with this release~
