While the sound of the vocals and the instrumentals are not my personal favorite sounds as far as my own personal music tastes go, for the musical genre, I think the band does have talent, and I really do like the lyrics and mood created with this song. The lyrics are nicely poetic and paint a pretty vivid image of longing for someone whom you’ve never met or haven’t seen in so long it seems like just a dream, and the sort of echo-y distorted instrumentals mesh nicely with the dreamy atmosphere. I also like how the lyrics aren’t specific and could also be interpreted to be about an estranged family member or someone you’ve lost to death rather than just the ideals of a romantic relationship, or one could even go as far as to construe it to relate to the longing desires of a fan with a celebrity crush. I would be curious to see what direction a music video takes this in~
